What is a good experience?

A good experience is something that you can keep in your memories. In 5 years time, the experience could still be remembered, with every moment still fresh in your mind. To make the experience a good one, surely, you would need to do something that you like, at the same time, having fun. For me thats a good way to make any experience, a good one.

For me, the most recent great experience was an outing with my colleagues. We went to have our lunch at Seoul Garden. Thats where we have to pick and cook our own food. We sat by the corner and eat eat eat as much as we could. We played dares and pranks on our friends. One time, my friend chewed his food and, placed it back on the pan. And so, he mixed them up with the rest of the meat. My other friend happily took it and ate it. Hahahha. It was disgusting though, but we still laughed. So we finished our meal, and we moved on to our mouthwash. We had fun experimenting with the ice kacang machine. Mixed it ice cream, drinks, and loads of other stuff. hahah. It was an experience. Thanks to my friends to make it a good one.

The other experience, while watching a movie. I’m usually noisy in cinemas, but this time, it wasn’t me only. Hahha. On the same day, we catch a movie called Angels and Demons. It so boring that my friends started to doze off. Haaha. My friend then started to take pictures. Some, call and hang up one another. Some even played this game called ‘Chopstick’. Haha. The movie wasn’t a good experience though, but what we did in the cinema was one. In times of boringness, theres always something to keep us hype. So yeah. It was another great experience in a cinema.

Web application is a software is coded with browser-supported language. This thing is good, because you dont have to install certain application on your computer to do something. Example, a simple calculator, or mini games.

How is that different from web design?

Web design is simply design the looks and the compostion of a web site. Whether if the site looks good that way, loads fast, and more. But, web application is just an application that eases the user by using the ‘software’ online, rather than having to install the application.

What are the good attributes of the site?

It is really staright forward. The navigation bar is simple.  You dont really have to scroll anywhere at the home page. Everything is in order, as in everything should be where they are supposed to be. 

What are the bad attributes of the site?

The site titles isnt name properly, for example, when i click on the Service tab, it opens up and give a weird  Title Heading. In this section, the headings such as ” Exchange Policy” , shouldn’t be much duller than the content. The color of the Title : THIS FASHION changes when i’m at the outlet section. This should be kept consistent through out the site.  At the home section, the fonts are too close to the lines, for example, Dear members, it should given a little space.  Also, the picture, stands out, rather than the logo, maybe it is just the picture they wanted us to look at first. Ok, there’s this weird thing going on in the Outlets sections. The phone number tend to be, big, small and at times bold. That, is little bit screwed up. Again, the colour use in the  This Card, should be more attractive. Discounts, promotion should be attractive. Using a dull color for it, is not a way to attract readers.  I notice, only under Service tab, another tab, which is Contact Us suddenly appear. It should be there in the first place. Its ok to make it a sublink under Service, but would be better to just be on the same level as the rest of the navigation.

But nowadays, only a few are surfing the web under the  8-bit system, e.g Pda, Handphones.

4. What is page loading time and how it influence your design?

It is the time taken to download the files from the server and view it on the browser.  The longer it takes, viewer will start to lose interest. Most viewers are impatience nowadays.

What I Think About Web Design Process.

Before i even read the link, i think the process only involve making the final product with the given guidelines by the clients. But after reading the link, i realised theres more to that actually. I think theres alot to do than just designing a web site. More than just a pretty web site. You need to understand what the clients really want. From there you have to understand, analyze and evaluate what you are given. And from there you have to start from scratch. The process takes alot of understanding and exploration. There are steps before you proceed to the final product. The process involes loads of self-exploration and commucation between you and the client. The testing of the site. The focus. Alot i don’t know.  All are important stuff. So there are alot of steps in this process.
